So some people are naturally product wizards (like my longtime friend Liz) and others may be like me, needing some diagram to remember which product goes on first to create the best synergy. As with most skin care lines, there are products that really work well as a team. Below, are links for helpful outlines of the Countertime and Countermatch collections that I thought I would share with you.
I will be honest, I was terrible about caring for my skin when I was younger because I had pretty easy skin to deal with most of the time. In short I was lazy about it. One thing I wish I realized then was taking better care of my skin earlier would have had long term benefits. I still cringe thinking about the baby oil that was slathered on skin in the late 70’s to help “tan.”
While I don’t recall using too much baby oil, the many medications and supplements for Lyme for over 20 years have not always been kind to my skin but I was worried about having to follow some crazy involved process to get results. I now realize it doesn’t have to be an overwhelming commitment or take time I don’t have when I finally get to go to bed. I am so grateful for Beautycounter and the Countertime products that have really helped moisturize and visibly diminish the grooves on my forehead. My skin really feels so much smoother yet also more firm. I also think using the Overnight Resurfacing Peel every other night continues to play a big part in that, too. The peel is so simple to use with an easy process of patting a pump or two onto my clean face after patting on a few shakes of the Hydrating Essence, putting on my pjs, brushing my teeth and then following up with my Ultra Renewal Eye Cream and Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream before I go to bed. I am careful to use my ring finger to apply eye cream, as it has the least strength and will be the most gentle to your eyes. If I am dealing with more redness or or super dry winter months, I will add a few drops of the balancing oil to my supreme cream for a really nourishing option. (Purchasing the Countertime Collection is a good way to save money and is also available as a set without the eye cream.) BTW, if you haven’t tried the Hydrating Essence, it really is lovely. It is so moisturizing and lasts a long time.
Now some people don’t need the intense moisture and anti-aging properties of the Countertime Collection and/or may just like the Countermatch better. To be honest, I love both and often use the Countermatch during the summer since the night cream is a bit lighter in weight. I had come across some great visuals that had the morning and evening routines laid out but they were too fuzzy to share and definitely not even clear with my glasses on. SO…. I made some new ones and added both the dew skin and the amazing oils to the charts. Also, a quick tip for those who need glasses… use a sharpie and write on the top of the container so you know the order and AM or PM. (I have also done this with my Lyme supplements to make my life easier.)
